Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 29, 2026
StickScores LLC, doing business as StickRides ("StickRides," "we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the StickRides website, application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices available to you.
You must be 18 or older to create a StickRides account.
1. Information We Collect
Waitlist Information
Before StickRides launched, people could join a waitlist on stickrides.com by entering their email address. The waitlist is now closed. We keep the email addresses already on it so we can tell those people about StickRides.
Account Information
When you create or use a StickRides account, we may collect information such as:
- Your name;
- Email address;
- Optional phone number;
- Account and login information; and
- Information you provide when contacting us.
You can sign in with Google or with a one-time sign-in link sent to your email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We do not receive your Google password.
If you ask for access to create carpools (for example, "Request early access" or "Request Pro access"), we keep your name, email address, the date of your request, and whether it was approved or declined, and we notify our team by email.
Carpool Information
When you create, join, or participate in a carpool, we may collect information necessary to organize that carpool, including:
- Parent or guardian names and email addresses;
- Phone numbers, when provided;
- Home addresses (street, city, state, and ZIP code), when provided;
- Children's names (and last initials, when provided), as entered by the parent or guardian;
- Team or group information;
- Drivers and riders;
- Available seats;
- Dates and times;
- Pickup and drop-off information;
- Practice, game, or event locations; and
- Changes made to carpool schedules.
A carpool organizer may also add a driver who has not joined StickRides yet, entering that person's name, their children's names, and their available seats so rides can be planned. That person can take over the entry when they join.
Team Calendar Information
Carpool organizers may connect a team or activity calendar. When they do, we import event information from that calendar, such as event names, dates, times, and locations, to build the carpool schedule.
Personal Driving Calendar
You can subscribe to a private calendar link that shows the drives you are assigned to across your carpools. Anyone who has this link can see those drives, so please keep it private. You can reset the link in StickRides at any time, which turns off the old one. We record when a calendar app last checked the link.
Payment Information
StickRides Pro subscriptions are processed through Stripe. StickRides never receives or stores your full payment-card number. We keep your Stripe customer number and information about your subscription, such as your plan (monthly or yearly), its status, its renewal, trial, and cancellation dates, and a history of changes such as subscriptions started, plan changes, cancellations, and failed payments. We also keep a history of complimentary or promotional Pro, including promo codes you redeem. Payment information is processed by Stripe in accordance with its own terms and privacy practices.
How People Join and Use StickRides
To understand how StickRides grows and how it is used, we record information such as how you joined (for example, through an invite link or a co-parent invitation) and who invited you; the first carpool you joined; which promo code, if any, you used; when you first created a carpool; when you were last active; and, for each ride, when it started needing a driver and when a driver signed up. We use this to improve StickRides and to understand which invitations and promotions work.
Technical Information
When you use StickRides, we may automatically receive limited technical information such as your device type, browser type, IP address, operating system, pages or features accessed, and information about how the Service is used.
We may use service providers to help us understand website and application usage and improve StickRides. If we introduce additional analytics or tracking technologies, we will update this Privacy Policy as appropriate.
2. Location Information
StickRides does not collect or track your device's live GPS location.
Users may enter addresses or locations associated with practices, games, events, pickups, drop-offs, or other carpool destinations, and locations may be imported from a connected team calendar. We use this information to provide the carpool coordination features requested by users.
Entering a destination into StickRides does not give StickRides access to your phone's ongoing physical location.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Create and maintain user accounts;
- Create, organize, and display carpools;
- Coordinate drivers, riders, and transportation schedules;
- Show available seats;
- Send carpool-related email reminders, in-app alerts, and service communications;
- Notify waitlist members when StickRides is available;
- Process subscriptions and payments;
- Respond to support requests;
- Maintain the security and reliability of StickRides;
- Understand how StickRides is used and how it grows, for example which invitations and promotions bring new families;
- Troubleshoot and improve the Service;
- Prevent misuse and fraud; and
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Information Shared With Other Carpool Members
StickRides works by allowing members of a carpool to see information needed to coordinate transportation.
Other participants in your carpool may see information such as:
- Your name and email address;
- Your phone number, if provided;
- Your home address, if provided;
- Your children's names, as you entered them;
- Whether you are driving;
- Which children are riding;
- Relevant carpool dates, times, and locations;
- Available seats; and
- Changes you make to the carpool, such as rides you sign up for or change, which may be shown with your name.
This information should be used only for coordinating the applicable carpool.
Invite Links and Co-Parents
StickRides lets users share invite links so other parents, guardians, and co-parents can join a carpool. A co-parent linked to your family can see your family's carpool information and can claim or release rides on your family's behalf. Everyone, including co-parents, must sign in to their own StickRides account to see a carpool. Anyone who has a carpool's invite link can join it and see the information described above, so please share invite links only with family members and people involved in your carpool.
Any member of a carpool can sign up to drive, change or remove the driver for a ride, and mark whether any child in that carpool is riding. The people affected may be notified, with the name of the person who made the change.
We encourage users to be thoughtful about the information they add to StickRides, particularly information concerning children.
5. Children's Privacy
StickRides is designed for adults coordinating transportation for children. It is not intended for children to create or manage their own accounts.
Parents, legal guardians, and authorized adult organizers may provide limited information about children for carpool coordination, such as a child's name as entered by the parent or guardian.
We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information directly to StickRides, and we do not use children's personal information for advertising.
If you believe a child has created an account or submitted personal information directly to us without appropriate authorization, please contact hello@stickrides.com so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete the information.
6. Email Communications
StickRides sends transactional and service-related emails, including carpool reminders and information about changes to transportation arrangements. Some communications are necessary for the operation of the Service.
If you joined our waitlist, we may email you about StickRides. You can ask to be removed from the waitlist at any time by emailing hello@stickrides.com.
Stripe sends payment receipts and subscription emails for StickRides Pro on our behalf.
If StickRides sends promotional or marketing emails in the future, those communications will include appropriate options to unsubscribe.
7. Service Providers
We share information with companies that provide services necessary to operate StickRides. These currently include:
- Google Firebase: data storage and account sign-in;
- Vercel: website and application hosting;
- Our email delivery provider: sending carpool reminders and service emails; and
- Stripe: payment processing and subscription billing.
These providers receive information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf.
We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of StickRides, our users, or others.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no online service or method of electronic storage can guarantee absolute security.
Users should protect their account credentials and should not share unnecessary sensitive information through StickRides.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide StickRides, maintain legitimate business records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and protect the security and integrity of the Service. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and why it was collected. Subscription and Pro history is kept as a business record, including after a subscription ends.
10. Account and Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your StickRides account and associated personal information, or removal from our waitlist, by emailing hello@stickrides.com.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a deletion request.
Certain information may be retained where reasonably necessary or legally required, including records relating to transactions, security, fraud prevention, disputes, or legal obligations. Information that another user independently provided as part of their own carpool records may also remain where appropriate, subject to applicable law.
11. Cookies and Similar Technologies
StickRides and our service providers may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary to operate the website, maintain sessions, remember preferences, protect accounts, and understand how the Service is used.
Our Service does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
As StickRides evolves, we may use additional analytics technologies. We will update this Privacy Policy and provide any choices or notices required by applicable law.
12. Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including rights to request access, correction, or deletion.
To make a privacy request, email hello@stickrides.com. We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as StickRides grows or our practices change.
When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above. If changes materially affect how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice when required by law.
