Terms of Service

Welcome to StickRides. StickRides is operated by StickScores LLC, doing business as StickRides ("StickRides," "we," "us," or "our").
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the StickRides website, application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using StickRides, you agree to these Terms.
1. About StickRides
StickRides is a scheduling and coordination platform designed to help parents, guardians, teams, and other groups organize carpools.
The Service allows users to create and join carpools, coordinate drivers and riders, view transportation schedules, track available seats, and receive email reminders.
StickRides is a coordination platform only. StickRides is not a transportation provider.
StickRides does not provide rides, employ drivers, operate vehicles, supervise transportation, or control the transportation arrangements made between users.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create a StickRides account.
StickRides is intended for parents, legal guardians, coaches, team organizers, and other adults coordinating transportation.
Children should not create their own StickRides accounts.
If you enter information about a child, you represent that you are the child's parent or legal guardian or otherwise have appropriate authorization to provide that information for purposes of coordinating the applicable team, group, or carpool.
3. Your Account
You agree to provide accurate information when creating and using your account and to keep your account information reasonably current.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity occurring through your account.
Everyone who uses a carpool, including co-parents, must sign in to their own StickRides account. Please share invite links only with family members and people involved in your carpool.
Co-parents. You may link a co-parent or other trusted adult to your family. A linked co-parent can view your family's carpool information and claim or release rides on your family's behalf, and their actions count as your family's. Only link adults you trust to make transportation commitments for your family.
Changes by carpool members. Any member of a carpool can sign up to drive, change or remove the driver for any ride, and mark whether any child in that carpool is riding. The people affected may be notified. You are responsible for the changes you make, so please coordinate with the families involved.

4. Carpool Information
To make carpool coordination possible, certain information is shared among members of the same carpool or group.
Depending on the carpool, participants may be able to see information including:
- Parent or guardian names;
- Parent or guardian phone numbers, when provided;
- Children's names, as entered by the parent or guardian;
- Who is driving;
- Which children are riding;
- Available seats;
- Dates and times;
- Pickup and drop-off information; and
- Game, practice, or event locations.
You agree to use information about other users and children only for legitimate purposes related to the applicable carpool, team, or group.
You may not use information obtained through StickRides for unrelated solicitation, advertising, marketing, harassment, or other unauthorized purposes.
Connected Calendars
If you connect a team or activity calendar to StickRides, you represent that you are authorized to share that calendar's event information with the members of your carpool.
Your Content
You keep ownership of the information you add to StickRides. You give us permission to store, display, and share that information with the members of your carpool as needed to operate the Service.
5. Drivers and Transportation
Parents and guardians are solely responsible for deciding who may transport their children.
StickRides does not select, recommend, screen, approve, employ, or supervise drivers.
StickRides does not:
- Conduct background checks on drivers;
- Verify driver's licenses or driving records;
- Verify automobile insurance;
- Inspect or approve vehicles;
- Determine whether a driver is qualified, safe, or appropriate;
- Determine whether a vehicle is safe or appropriate;
- Supervise children during transportation; or
- Guarantee that any transportation arrangement will occur as planned.
Drivers are responsible for maintaining all licenses and insurance required by law, operating a safe and legally compliant vehicle, and complying with applicable traffic, passenger, seat belt, car seat, and child-safety laws.
Participation in any carpool coordinated through StickRides is voluntary and at the discretion of the participating adults.
6. Changes, Cancellations, and Reminders
Transportation plans can change. Users are responsible for reviewing their schedules and communicating with other participants when necessary.
StickRides may send email reminders and other service communications as a convenience.
We do not guarantee that any reminder, notification, email, or other communication will be delivered or received on time.
Users should not rely solely on StickRides to confirm that transportation for a child has been arranged.
7. StickRides Pro and Payments
Families may join and participate in carpools without purchasing a paid subscription. Participants, co-parents, and caregivers never need to pay.
An organizer needs a StickRides Pro subscription to create new carpools, add events to a carpool's schedule, and keep a connected team calendar syncing. StickRides Pro is offered at:
$2.99 per month
or
$29.99 per year
Prices do not include any applicable taxes. Payments are processed through Stripe.
When Pro ends. If an organizer's Pro ends, their existing carpools keep working: schedules, rides, drivers, reminders, and personal driving calendars are not deleted. Adding new events and team calendar syncing pause until Pro is active again.
Automatic renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each monthly or yearly period, and your payment method will be charged the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date. For yearly subscriptions, we will send you a reminder before renewal where required by law.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time through your account's billing settings or by emailing hello@stickrides.com. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Except where required by law or otherwise expressly stated, amounts already paid are non-refundable.
Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe will try again over the following days, and you keep Pro while it does. Please update your payment method in your billing settings. If the payment still cannot be collected, your subscription may end.
Free trials and promotions. We may offer free trials or promotional codes that give StickRides Pro for a limited time. Promotional Pro cannot be added on top of Pro you already have. Each offer is subject to the terms presented with it, has no cash value, and may be changed or ended at any time. If you subscribe while you have free or promotional Pro, your first charge is scheduled for when that free period ends, and we will tell you before you are charged.
Price changes. We may change subscription pricing or features in the future. We will give existing subscribers advance notice of any price increase, and the new price will apply starting at your next renewal.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use StickRides for unlawful purposes;
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, or harm another person;
- Provide information that you know is materially false or misleading;
- Share another user's or child's information outside the carpool or group without appropriate authorization;
- Use information obtained through StickRides for unrelated commercial purposes;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another account;
- Attempt to interfere with or compromise the security or operation of StickRides;
- Use automated systems to scrape or collect information from the Service without our permission; or
- Use StickRides in a way that creates unreasonable risk to other users or children.
We may suspend or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms or protect StickRides, our users, or others.
9. Information About Children
StickRides is designed for use by adults.
Parents, guardians, and authorized adult organizers may enter limited information about children when necessary to coordinate carpools, such as a child's name as entered by the parent or guardian.
Users should not enter unnecessary sensitive information about children into StickRides.
Our handling of personal information is described further in our Privacy Policy.
10. Third-Party Services
StickRides relies on third-party service providers to operate portions of the Service, including payment processing, hosting, data storage, sign-in, email delivery, and other technology services.
For example, subscription payments are processed through Stripe, and you may sign in using Google or a one-time email link.
We are not responsible for the independent acts, services, or privacy practices of third-party providers.
11. Service Availability
We aim to provide a reliable Service, but we cannot guarantee that StickRides will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
We may modify, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features as StickRides evolves.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, StickRides is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
StickRides makes no warranty or guarantee concerning the reliability, safety, conduct, qualifications, availability, or suitability of any user, driver, passenger, vehicle, carpool, or transportation arrangement coordinated through StickRides.
13. Assumption of Responsibility
Transportation inherently involves risks that are outside StickRides' control.
By using StickRides to coordinate transportation, you acknowledge that transportation arrangements are made directly among users and that StickRides is not a party to those transportation arrangements.
You are responsible for evaluating the people with whom you choose to participate in a carpool and making decisions you believe are appropriate for yourself and your children.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, StickScores LLC and its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of StickRides.
This includes, without limitation, claims arising from or relating to:
- A driver or passenger;
- A transportation arrangement;
- A missed, delayed, changed, or canceled ride;
- An automobile accident;
- Personal injury or property damage;
- The conduct of another user;
- Incorrect information entered by a user;
- Failure or delay of an email or reminder; or
- Unauthorized use or disclosure of information by another user.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim relating to StickRides will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) $50.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
15. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless StickScores LLC and its owners, employees, and contractors from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or transportation you provide or arrange through StickRides.
16. Account Suspension and Termination
You may stop using StickRides at any time.
To request deletion of your account, email hello@stickrides.com.
We may suspend or terminate an account if we reasonably believe a user has violated these Terms, misused the Service, created a safety or security risk, or engaged in unlawful activity.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time as StickRides changes.
When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice when required by law.
Your continued use of StickRides after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
18. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Any dispute relating to these Terms or StickRides will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Westchester County, New York, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court where eligible.

19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the StickRides Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented in connection with particular features, promotions, or subscriptions, constitute the agreement between you and StickScores LLC regarding your use of StickRides.
